Support of CF-related Research

• Mukoviszidose e.V. provides funding exclusively for projects in the sector of cystic fibrosis which investigate the implementation of findings from basic CF-related research in clinical applications and vice-versa (translational research). The "peer review" process of submitting applications and their approval is conducted in two steps: submission of a project outline as initial application (step I) and - if evaluated positively by the German Research Association for Cystic Fibrosis (FGM) - submission of a detailed application (step II) which is evaluated by external experts.

• Mukoviszidose e.V. established the Mukoviszidose Institute as well as the German CF Clinical Trial Network (CF-CTN) to provide support with scientific services for the planning, execution, evaluation and dissemination of clinical research projects in the field of cystic fibrosis (CF).
